San Diego, Calif., February 15, 2010 – Nexaira Wireless Inc., (“Nexaira”) (NXWI.OB), announced a new addition to its line of High Availability Routing solutions, “HANA,” the first cellular-enabled High Availability Network Adaptor. HANA sets a new standard for an all-inclusive yet powerful cellular broadband networking device. HANA’s focus on signal strength and noise elimination provides increased speed and reliability for 3G / 4G broadband cellular applications. HANA’s management and security features allow it to act as a primary router or provide real time failover for wireless, DSL or cable network connections.

“HANA is a revolutionary single product solution that enables service providers to offer small and medium size business customers diversity in their network architecture by leveraging the high availability of cellular networks with business class function.” said Rusty Wright, Vice President of Marketing and Product at Nexaira. “The speed of cellular networks continues to rapidly increase as the cost to the user decreases; cellular high availability services are an obvious growth area for carriers, managed service providers and cable companies offering business services.”

HANA bundles all necessary components into a ruggedized enclosure, including the cellular connection manager, cellular to Ethernet network adapter, and a high gain directional antenna. HANA is designed to ensure the best possible performance and reliability even in noisy or weak signal environments like concealed IT closets.

“HANA is an innovative solution that can both generate revenue for the service provider with new diverse high availability services and dramatically boost customer satisfaction,” added Carl Silva, Chief Scientist for Nexaira. “In addition to providing 3G cellular broadband speeds that often exceed DSL, using cellular diversity in an IT infrastructure will eliminate construction costs of alternate service or building entrance facilities. Thus, the mean time to repair (MTTR) a cellular connection is considerably less than wireline, and a business owner’s revenue will not suffer simply because their network connection failed.”

HANA offers immediate access to any cellular network, and comes equipped with Nexaira’s patented user-friendly broadband data firmware, NexWareSM , which enables automatic connection and configuration with user-friendly device management. Service providers can also select to integrate an optional 3G / 4G modem that leverages EVDO RevA, HSPA, HSPA+ or WiMAX technologies. In addition, HANA offers several other unmatched features, including:=

  • 100% router hardware redundancy via VRRP (virtual router redundancy protocol), HANA is fully compatible with Cisco and Juniper routers
  • Superior data safety, exceeding other 3G device’s method of protecting data by supporting termination of VPN IPSec encrypted tunnels
  • XtremeSpeed WAN optimization to ensure the fastest wireless connection on the market
